“What is a Patellar Dislocation?”
Patellar dislocation is an injury at the knee, commonly caused by a direct impact or a sudden twist of the leg. It occurs when the patella/kneecap slips out of its normal position in the patellofemoral groove and generally causes intense pain.

- Swelling of the knee
- Severe pain at the front knee
- ‘Clicking’ of the knee
- Discolouration at the area of injury
- Instability of the knee
